What We’re About – Our Mission

Mission Statement

We hope you noticed a few essential elements that define what our church is about.

1. Reach people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ -- We are about the gospel of Jesus Christ. Fundamentally.  Foundationally.  We are gospel-centered in all that we do.  We believe people's greatest need is to find forgiveness by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. We do this through personal faith sharing as well as constantly preaching the gospel.   (Romans 1:16

2. Train in godliness -- Once we've reached a person we don't just move on to the next one.  We believe in discipleship.  We believe that the church has a responsibility to help new believers mature in their faith.  We do this through small groups, bible studies and expositional preaching.  (2 Timothy 2:2)

3. Equip to serve -- The culmination of discipleship is not just knowledge, but knowledge that works its way out in service.  We were called to follow Jesus. Jesus said He came to serve, not to be served.  Is the student better than his master?  Pastors and teachers have been placed in the church not to do all the work but to equip believers to do the work of ministry.  We do this by connecting people's passions with opportunities to serve.  We're hoping this becomes the major focus in the months ahead.  Not just serving the church but also the community.  (Ephesians 4:11-12)
