In a day when men would rather surf cable networks, bet on fantasy football and pleasure themselves with pornography than study God’s Word and raise up their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord, I hear Jesus asking, “Where are the mighty men? Where are the men who will stand up for truth? Where are the men who will fight for their marriages? Where are the men who will fight for the hearts of their children? Men who will captivate their wives and daughters. Men who will inspire their sons. Men who will lead in their church. Men who will shake the foundations of the culture. Are there any left?” And I respond with a resounding, “Yes, Lord! Here am I. Will you make me mighty?” I wonder if there are others who will stand with me. I know you’re out there. I know there are men who are dying to do more than they are doing now. They know their impact is minimal and they long to do something that lasts. They long to have an impact in this life and in the life to come.
If this is you, be here Sunday and do something about it…and bring other men with you.
